Our temperatures have been down below zero. The bird bath has iced over some mornings. It is WINTER! And this mad girl has decided to sit! Cobweb has only just come on the lay & it's definitely not warm around here. I certainly end up with the nutters.
Leonard has settled beautifully. The girls have accepted him & he is not people adverse. He's fantastic with me & has never even looked like he might become aggressive. I am stoked having read all the rooster horror stories. I have been blessed to have had easy integrations after my first one...
I've always owned rescues & they all react differently to abuse/neglect. My boys have always been very timid. Freya is aggressive. The one thing they've all had in common is I'm their safe place. 🙄 Freya doesn't like sharing her safe place.
I can't help, RC. Freya is a rescue. We think she's been abused by males somewhere in her past as she hates anything male: my other cats, my boarder, the males at bible study. She's just got to learn not everything male is out to get her.
I like having the wild life around even if it is a bit of a pain. I had a film of ice over my bird bath this morning but I am seeing more bird variety finally: king parrots, pardalote, finches, kingfishers as well as both black & sulphur cockatoos. Figure as the front yard grows up I'll see...
CATURDAY. 😳
Honorary cat.
This is one of a family of wallabies that haunt my yard
& are the main reason I've lost most of the fruit trees I planted. They are pretty tame. Luckily my front yard is fenced or there'd be nothing left.
These two are sworn enemies but when it comes to my bed...
