Oh Alex I am so sorry about Beethoven-Hen. You have had a lot of loss recently and it is hard.
:hugs :hugs
But you are not a failure. Beethoven-Hen lived a wonderful and long life in your care. So did the wonderful Jaffar.
Take your time to mourn, but remember the others need you...
It has always felt rather noble to me.
A bit of a Captain Oates move on her part.
For those not familiar with Captain Oates and his famous last words:

Yeah. I tried.
In addition to the one the dragons are in, there are 8 other nest boxes. Pooh has examined them all!
Bernie and Babs seem content with one of the other boxes.
Calypso goes in with the dragons to donate her egg.
:idunno
This is one of the issues with having the fire-breathing dragons.
Pooh is too intimidated to go into the nest boxes to lay, so she leaves her eggs in random places. At least this one was easy to see and retrieve.
I had a cat like that. She was ancient and one night she demanded to go out. Last I saw of her was marching off into the darkness.
Miss her.
She was called Pashmina.
I used a small scalpel on Babs. I wouldn’t feel confident in using a punch biopsy. I would also really try drawing salves to see if you can soften the skin to let it out before cutting.
Broody developments.
1) Seems like Piglet has taught Tassels to get off the nest at least once a day to eat and drink. This makes me very happy.
2) In the nest, Tassels is sitting on Piglet’s head. This makes it hard for Piglet to peck me when I gather eggs from under them both. That is good...
Taxes are owed people. And let me remind you BYC has a no politics rule, so best not to be chatting about Presidents and their capabilities (or otherwise).
Oh I am not even trying.
I gave up understanding tech when they took away the dos > from my PC and replaced it with, what I was told is, a GUI.
I felt disempowered and now just push buttons and hope for the best!
