Oh, yeah. I usually end up buying some, anyway. For the amount I need, I'd be spending a fortune if I bought them all.

Chilly and drizzly here today. I want to go plant my garden start seeds (tomatoes and peppers) today in the green house. It's only passive solar heat, and we won't have much sunshine for the next 4 days. But the seeds can get in the dirt and start softening up, getting ready to sprout.

"Easter" is linked to the pagan springtime goddess Eostre. :frow I still call myself "blessed" around my Christian friends (they don't bug me about religion, happily), but I mean it in the sense of "lucky." Hubby and I have a lot (LOT!LOT!) to be thankful/grateful for. I try not to lose sight of that. SO MANY things in our life have "gone right," and...

When I was about 8, I was watching my mom mow the yard. It was the first mowing of the season, and the grass was thick, so she was working at it. And, yes, this was a push mower; NOBODY had riding mowers back then. She came in, dripping sweat, and saw me looking out the window. She asked me...

The older I get, the more I value sleep. I've also read that it's when your brain does its "housekeeping." I miss the productivity of those extra hours, but the possibility of Alzheimer's or other dementia scares the crap out of me. Ha! Never heard of these. I gotta give them a try. I have...
