Saw this at a coffee shop today and took a pic for this thread

Just got this one today, it’s a 1950’s Fire King “Peach Lustre” mug. I remember using this quirky color glassware as a child and thinking it was magical. I still love it. We have a couple matching bowls as well.

I was looking thru old photos, and found this one I took 6 yrs ago, one of our first chickens, in a cup...Her name became Lady Buffington. She was always very good about posing for pictures, basically tolerated just about anything.

We’re at a flea mall, look at all the mugs! You can see the rear of our little dog on the left. If you had a lab, you could never bring him in here, swinging his big tail around... Later, in the end, I didn’t get a mug, I got other odds and ends tho.

An old Fire King mug from the 1960’s, it has seen better days... and only holds 9 oz, but feels good in the hand.

When our daughter moved back here from Oregon to help us on the farm in 2020, she brought her favorite mug w her. No, she didn’t get it in Denver, she said she got it out of a ‘free box’ years ago. In Portland if you have stuff you no longer want, you just put it out in a box by the curb...
