Hen very sick - sour crop and milky white poop

I'm sorry she's not improving. You may be able to give her a flush and see if that helps move the crop. I suspect she has more going on with her unfortunately. It would be good to get @TwoCrows and @azygous opinions, more eyes and knowledge!

The dosing is very hard to nail down. This first post is what I normally recommend. https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/miracle-la-200-dosage-and-vetrx-for-crd-treatment.631458/

The Calcium might be absorbed, hard to know. LA-200 (Oxytretracycline) might be worth a try.

I'd consider giving her calcium too just in case she's having some troubles expelling an egg. Ah, I see you've added you think she may have Ascites. Do you feel bloat/fluid in her abdomen below the vent between her legs? Is the abdomen tight like a drum? Ascites can be due to reproductive...

I had one that did that when I lost their rooster. She stopped when I got another rooster LOL You may want to take a look at her neck to see if she might have a small injury, that can happen as well from being mounted.

Wonder if the crop is just that uncomfortable. Any chance she's suffered some type of neck or head trauma, got her head hung in a fence or been pecked? I'd see if she continues with the behavior, it may be worth taking note. Not sure what it means though.

Looking down a lot, that's a new one on me. Interesting observation. Is it like she's adjusting her crop or is she having to "watch" her steps or? Cooked egg and yogurt sounds good. I let them eat what they wish when having issues. Usually avoid scratch/grains if the crop is not up to par...

I would give the miconazole and see if she improves. If not, then begin the antibiotic. I'm glad she's perked up a little.

Yes. I'd treat her for Sour Crop. You never know she may pull right on through. Wheezing and gurgling can be from the crop being so full of liquid. The article is very good and she tries to cover all bases. It's worth trying to treat unless the hen become unresponsive. Often there is an...
