    Does the wound smell bad, have redness or red streaks, is it hot? Is the puncture wound a lump, hard to tell in the photo. Swab it daily with chlorhexidine, then apply your triple antibiotic ointment. Chlorhexidine will help a lot if it's starting to get infected.

    How is she doing? General wound care is to clean/flush the wound with saline or an antiseptic like Chlorhexidine (Hibiclens) or Povidone Betadine. Apply triple antibiotic ointment to the wound. Work on getting her through shock. Sugar water or electrolytes are good to give. Once drinking...
