The NN chicks I hatched hatched ended up boys, almost 4 months now. I saw the little red one mounting a Halloween hatched hen.

The Halloween chick is shy, but when I was spying on her, when she did not think I was looking, she was showing the chicks how to eat. I like using plastic silver wear trays for the feed.

I was going to say, Billings is the only chick in this group with feathers on his legs.

seems like if you hatch more than 8 ... gets to be a bit much.

All are doing well.

I put Billings in with the other chicks this evening. He was so happy to be with them, you could tell he said, "I am so happy to be with you guys, aren't you happy I am here, too?"

I didn't think i had Billings shell. Here are all of them

I put them in brooder. Brady was not ready so I put him back in incubator with Billings. Billings is already standing.

Billing's shell got destroyed when I was helping her, so I have no pic of that. She was not shrink wrapped (not a fan of that word,) but when you took the shell off, she was just surrounded by the inner layer, The inner layer, was not all wrinkled, and not stuck to her just a soft white inner...

That was why I set this batch!

I did have to help her because her head was stuck in the upside down pointy part of egg. All hatched now, day 22 still. I will post a group pic as the get their sea legs.
