Oh I know, however that kiddo is pretty level headed tbh. She has the soul of experience animal handler I swear 😂 doesn’t bother her overmuch. That said, I personally am glad we got em down before that happened, as an immediate shower is about all that would fix that!

Like you I am still learning about the two roo dynamics. I can share what I see though as it seems similar to the behavior you are seeing. My two boys get on with one another. They work in tandem when out to free range it’s amazing to see honestly. The only time I see chasing, like you...

Fluffy Butt Acres: Stories of our flock

Adorable 🥰 Remember when I got my first chicks? I got mystery chicks. It was very frustrating to wait to figure that out. I can sympathize 100%! I was able to figure it out at about the time they were fully feathered. It will become clear soon!

Fluffy Butt Acres: Stories of our flock

Oh it’s weird isn’t it? Believe it or not it has gotten better just very slowly. I have a bit of hope that it will right itself. Time will tell, she is eating, drinking, and pooping. She is scratching around and doing all the normal chick stuff like the others so 🤷‍♀️. I may post over on the...

Chicks first day (about 15 min) outside. They spent more time using us as a flying jungle gym than exploring the grass 😂. My sons attempt to get em to eat grass like the big chickens do. Ryka and Quill Here is a photo of her with that huge eye opened. It was clear they thought it was time...

We cannot control when those we love leave us, as much as we would like to. However, you can and are caring for others of his kind and giving them a loving home. In my opinion this is a wonderful way to honor his memory.

Yes 🙌 I am looking at the pinless peepers for her. I know it wouldn’t be anywhere near 100% and certainly not what they were meant for but … some protection has gotta be better than none. Idk we shall see how it all develops. Maybe I will get lucky and as she grows it will be less pronounced.

Fluffy Butt Acres: Stories of our flock

I never started a thread there. I was there when she hatched and she came out of the egg as she is. I was hoping it was swelling but honestly at this point, it really do suspect it is a birth defect. There is no apparent redness, no signs of infection at all. Just one unusually large eye. The...
