    droopy eyelid with bubbles

I guess I definitely have to play it by ear and see if my flock seems to have frequent flare ups or not!! For the most part majority of my flock has really strong immune systems, extremely hardy and healthy, so I can’t imagine seeing frequent flare ups! Like I mentioned before, of my 20+ birds...

    droopy eyelid with bubbles

@dawg53 okay so the bacteria builds a resistance to any antibiotic over time, except Denagard correct? so the people who give a preventative dose of denagard monthly (I believe the preventative dose is half of the treatment dose) aren’t risking their birds building a resistance right...

    droopy eyelid with bubbles

welp, I’m biting my tongue now. I was so hopeful and was almost certain it wasn’t MG, but two of the affected chicks started sneezing😭 the other affected chick has one last dose of oral antibiotics and seemed to recover completely. Now i’m almost certain it’s MG and plan to manage accordingly...

    droopy eyelid with bubbles

i have not had any “sickly” looking birds. all happy, full of energy, normal appetites, no physical symptoms besides their irritated eyes, so I really don’t love the idea of culling one of them just to check. I will obviously maintain a closed flock for the time being since I am not certain what...

    droopy eyelid with bubbles

If it is in fact MG that’s wonderful to hear!!! most of the forums I found on here and elsewhere were pushing people to cull their entire flock and that is like a last case scenario for me. I also luckily have Tylan 50 on hand too if that’s the case. I guess my plan now is to not get any new...

    droopy eyelid with bubbles

the first few days that I noticed symptoms all I did was rinse eyes with saline and put terramycin ointment on their eyes because I suspected eye infection. I started antibiotics only yesterday and noticed improvement even before I started them on antibiotics. the timeline is just so blurry so...

    droopy eyelid with bubbles

if it is MG, at this point the safe assumption would be that my whole flock are now carriers. If that’s the case, obviously no new birds are coming in and none of my birds are going out. But if it is Mycoplasma, every thread i’ve read insists on culling them! I will do anything but that, unless...

    droopy eyelid with bubbles

correction- I separated the 3 chicks for like 2-3 days simply to make it easier to administer antibiotics but did not quarantine them or keep them separated. Don’t know if that’s important to mention

    droopy eyelid with bubbles

PLEASE HELP! I have 3 chicks that have developed some droopy eyes and water bubbles in the eyes. Upon some research, Mycoplasma kept coming up which was a huge concern for me but upon seeing other threads and searching up all the possible symptoms, not a single one of them has anything besides...
