I do because have a multi generation flock with roosters, birds that's aren't laying shouldn't really eat layer feed. I just throw out oyster shell for my ladies.

It depends on YOUR wants/needs. I prefer a layer with about 18% protein, or a chick starter.

The feed isn't fantastic nutritionally speaking, that unfortunately in more holistic feeds. Give her 400i.u vitamin E capsule and about a third of a b complex tablet every day for a few weeks. Any brand from the grocery store. Pull down on a waddle and pop it in her beak.
