People are just so sensitive anymore. I don't know how it began but if it continues to escalate, no one will feel free to talk out loud for fear of offending someone.
I don't either. I once put the receiver of a pay phone up to my ear only to find out someone had put ketchup all over the earpiece. My cousin got a good laugh out of that even though he wasn't the one who did it.
Yea, I haven't heard of anything like that happening in a long time and I'm sure there's pretty stiff penalties for not having a load strapped down properly.
I remember a film similar to that. It was of a trucker hauling telephone poles that had crashed and the poles had speared through the cab of the truck and driver . It was gruesome, to say the least. Seems like I was in Jr high. Can't remember for sure. Mid 60's I believe.
I read that a 14 year old kid was recently arrested for trying to pay for his school lunch with a two dollar bill. Apparently no one was aware that it was actually legal tender. Charges were later dropped.
I remember catsup. I don't know why the difference.
Eta. Thanks R2elk. Sounds about right. Someone decided to change something and everybody jumped on the bandwagon.
