That’s what I’ll do then. Right now the guineas and chickens are in the same fenced area (about qtr acre with separate sleep areas). It hasn’t been an issue until the last few days…guinea daddy is getting aggressive with the hens.
I don’t know if you recall that initially I took the keets away from mama then thought I had made a huge mistake and started giving them back to her one or two at a time until she had eight. (I had read so many things about guineas being terrible parents and was being cautiously optimistic...
I know eventually we will process some of our guineas and they will be as delicious as they are beautiful and entertaining. And I will be thankful for them again.
Well, my baby Boneheads are going to be 7 wks old tomorrow. Their little bright orange legs have faded to a dull dreamcicle color and are turning various shades of grey, and they are much taller than they were even a short three weeks ago. 🎵They are big 🎶keets now!🎶
