Swedish Flower Hen
An extremely rare breed not only in North America but the world. I love their great variety of colours, no two birds look alike. They will vary in looks because they have not been bred to conform to a standard but were left to roam free in Sweden with the strongest birds adapting to the conditions and reproducing.
Not only are they beautiful (their native name means bloom hens), they are very hardy and have the perfect personalities for the backyard flock, independent but love human companionship. Eggs are tinted (tan) and hens are prolific layers of extra large eggs. I just love theses chickens.
Here are some pictures.

10092018 - I have acquired a Swedish Flower Hen cockerel and he is the nicest rooster I think I have ever been around. He has wonderful coloring too. Hope the picture does him well. Now I am in the market for some girls to keep him happy.

Thanks @chickensrock12 for starting this thread! Here's my pair, Sven, just about a year old and molting when this photo was taken (he has two lovely sickle feathers now), and Venka, who's about 9 months old. He has turned into a very good rooster, though he wasn't when younger (he was acquired as a supposed pullet!). She's a real sweetie too. Both are crested.
