I purchased 2 Copper marans that are supposed to be hens, but they sure don't look like it. They're 4 months old and do NOT crow. Tail feathers have a rounded shape, but those combs... both look just like the image

It's ok. I knew in my gut they were, but being new, I let her convince me otherwise. She was very nice and said she'd replace them.

She is new to it too. So basically, it was the blind leading the blind. Lol
Guess you both learned something then. Sounds like a great person to deal with then. Knowing boys from girls is the first step, then breed from breed, then color from color.
