So We know that my duck Blueberry is a silver appleyard cross and not sure what the cross is.
As a duckling she was marked just like a silver appleyard. And after much research and looking at pictures no other duckling is marked like the silver appleyard...(correct me if I am wrong new to ducks!!) Here is Bluberry at 14 days old.
We just hatched 11 ducklings out of 15 in the bator (2 died after hatching :/) so we have 9.
(2 that never made the internal pip were Bluberry's as well with the mohawk)
2 are marked just like she was as a duckling
And I thought all the rest were pekin UNTIL today!! When I was reading on here about sexing the ducklings and the welsh harlequin was mentioned. So I googled them and saw a few of my ducklings!!
There are 3 ducklings that look like a welsh harlequin yellow bodies, whitish light yellow chest, a slight brownish head & pink bill...
SO since the welsh harliquin look kind of like the appleyard could this be what Bluberry is crossed with? I cant get a good picture of them. My phone flash washes out the darkish heads..
Here you can kind of see the darker head on the right..
So what do you guys think? Could Bluberry be appleyard and welsh harliquin crossed?
