I also use a dog run for a pair of turkeys- I used 2" netting over the top then mounted inverted T's made from pipe with a cross pipe at the now top- our local import tool store carries a nice heavy tarp that I then stretched over the pipe-
It has gone through snow here in SC (so not much) but then again the center is about 4' above the sides-
I also have a tarp mounted across the back and part of the sides to give a wind break..

Hello all,
Someone had apparently "dumped " these two precious baby ring neck pheasants in our neighborhood. They are about 8 weeks old, male and female. After visiting about 8 homes they decided to live in our front yard under our carob tree. Since this is Las Vegas and mostly desert they seem to be right at home. The only problem is keeping feral cats and stray dogs away. We actually have a group of hawks and two peregrine falcons that live somewhere around but they don't seem too interested in these guys or my chickens. There are also some wild quail around. Believe it or not we are less than 29 miles from the strip area in a very old neighborhood.
