This spring I ordered 2 female and 1 male toulouse. We lost one and the other two are doing great

I have a female brown china goose as well. Well I am having a feeling that both my toulouse are male

I looked up online and it said that males have white under the beak, which one of mine does. But if I compare their back ends to my china's back end, there is a BIG difference LOL. My china's back end is just one round back end. The two toulouse look to have two round areas in the back end. I am really hoping I don't have two males, but I am leaning towards it. I am going to take pics now, hopefully someone can help

Thanks!

The first two pics are of the same goose. You can see the two pouches in the back

This is of the other one that I am almost 100% is a male, his back end looks the same as the other and you can see the white under his beak.

What do their honks sound like? Males have a higher voice (think screechy) than the females. The undersides aren't really an indication of sex. My pair both had pouches. If all else fails wait until spring and see if you get eggs.

The one that doesn't has the white under the beak SCREAMS like someone is killing him/her LOL

The other just sounds normal

Well normal for a goose LOL

I still may have a pair then!! That would make my day LOL

Ok

With a screech like that, I was sure it was female

So the white under the beak really means nothing then LOL. Thank you so much for your help

The pauches (technical term for pouches) are not sex indicating. Most well fed heavy geese have then in both sexes. Sometimes just before a goose lays an egg the pouches might be enlarged. After they have laid many eggs they may become saggy-baggy but slowly return to normal after egg season is over....
