I do not like them. How do I get rid of them? I am feeding them a commercial Dumpour feed.
How do you get rid of red blood & meat spots in the eggs?

Are they just getting started laying? Sometimes it takes their bodies awhile to get with the program. I also think some hens are just more prone to that.
I have found that once comsumed that spot is hardly noticable. LOL. I just dont really pay much attention to them unless they are very large then I cook for the dog or simply discard. Young birds seem more prone.

Do you feed them anything else? I feed ours live fresh greens every single day. They have not ever had store-bought feed only even from day 1. Always have fed them lots of greens and fruit and veggie leftovers with their Dumor grower/finisher crumbles. I have had only deep orange yolks in eggs and clear bright whites.
Apparently fright will cause blood spots. I have heard this was a rumor but actually, after frightful situations like coop construction, predator scares I think that maybe 1 out of 8 have a blood spot in my coop. I don't think there is anything you can do other than keeping a calm, quiet coop. I also have a couple young pullets that just began laying and I suspect they will have blood spots too.

I pick that out of the egg and cook those eggs for the dogs. I feed them good feed, dandelion, oyster shell, and grit daily.
Wish I knew how to decrease these imperfections. Hopefully, someone here has an answer.
Here is a pic of one of the eggs that was laid w/ an ugly meat spot (during the first days they laid).
