They could be better color wise, but their type is great, ya I would pay $60 for them. They didn't sell so email the breeder and buy them. Infact tell him you will give him $50, he will take it most likely

Its always hard to tell by a pic on eggbid how good a bird is. I always like to hold an Old English in my hand and see how it feels. Thats not a bad price for nice Old English. I have paid anywhere from $50 to $300 for a trio. I do know that guy sells alot of nice birds and use to do alot of showing. The bird looks to have decent type and thats what you need. I would offer him $60 for a trio and you never know he may take you up on it.Plus you want have to pay them crazy shipping prices because you can pick it up. I have pretty much raised and showed Creles,Spangles, and self blues so I'm not up much on the Brassy back color. I do like the type of the cockerel and I think you could raise some nice birds out of him. I would try to talk him into a trio and that way you can raise alot more birds. I raise approx 150-200 Creles a year but you know only about 5-10 of the cockerels will make it to the show coop or breeding pen the next year.Let me know if you need anything. I know a little about Old English and will help you anyway I can. Thats the fun of it I have raised and showed old english off and on for about 25 years and I still learn something new every breeding season and every show.

This is a pic of S and E Bantams Brassy Back Cockerel. Eli and Seth Smith raised some of the best Brassy Back and Blue Brassy Back. They had the most points scored for 09 if I'm not mistaken. Go to the Old English Club website and look in the gallery under S and E Bantams and you will find awesome Brassy backs.

they are worth $60 to you since you are paying it. To someone else they may be worth much less. Things are worth what people will pay.

The ad says they have more hens available. If I were driving that far I'd pick up an extra girl.

I don't know much about OEGB, but I've seen some pairs go for over 100 bucks here.

Brassy Back e+/e+ s+/s+ Ar+/Ar+ Di/Di Ml/Ml ‘rb/rb’
Furness eWh/eWh s+/s+ Ar+/Ar+ Mh/Mh Di/Di Ml/Ml ‘rb/rb’
Polecat ER/ER s+/s+ Ar+/Ar+ Di/Di ‘rb/rb’
The genetic differences between Brassyback, Furnace, and Polecat are still subject to conjecture, but based descriptions in the Standard they are essentially the same however the Furnaces have dark red shoulders whereas Brassybacks have brass shoulders. The Polecats have tan and it is my belief that they are crow wing based. In short, it is thought that Brassyback is e+, Furnace is Wheaton, and Polecat is Er. The above recipe is the ideal, but this colour variety closely resembling the segregations from E, ER and also eb based black breeding depending on demanded leg colour
and other minor differences according to the breed.
