How are.those.red birds of yours coming along?
I have a great 18 month old Rooster I am going to get rid of if anyone in the 4-Corners area is interested. Genetics come from Dick Horstman: single comb.I'm looking for heritage RIR roosters and will buy hens if available
I’m still raising Rhode Island Red and New Hampshire largefowl and shipping eggs. I’m glad to see this thread is still going. I sure wish Bob and others were still alive to post their knowledge on here.
Those are gorgeous are they New Hampshire reds?.. somehow I got my hands on swedish flower New Hampshire cross they had speckles as babies but now they look like New Hampshire very big birds I get an egg a day for majority of the year. I want to get my hands on Old School Rhode Island reds like I used to back in the late 90s and new hamp reds ..I have been breeding and showing them for more than 12 years. They are big birds with wide bodies or I wouldn’t have them
No such thing…. The breed is simply New Hampshire. Hatcheries have added Red to the name but that is totally wrong ... Ohhhhh because I called it a New Hampshire red. I know!.. hatcheries and their misinformation. I love looking at this thread of the heritage New Hampshire and Rhode Island reds!
