Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

So the stature and build apply for all EE cockerels and pullets? Thanks
No that's not an accurate way to sex but it can help if there are other signs. For EEs, you want to look for the color pattern, the redder pea comb, thicker legs. The color pattern is usually the easiest way to tell in EEs. Cockerels often have reddish/rust color show up on their shoulders but in general they will have a more uneven and splotchy appearance.

Perf. I will look out for the colors. They are 8 weeks now but none have grown comb so it's not a huge indicator for me right now.

Here is our EE Cockerel Chuck for ref; his colors are pretty much exactly what WingIt described

Just found this thread and some of the info about coloring has me wondering about one of my young EEs… I didn’t suspect she was a rooster but now I’m wondering based on color - she is quite different in color than my other two. Pictures of her below, she’s about 8 weeks.

She’ll be laying eggs. Roosters don’t lay eggs by the way.
