This year I've hatched three Silkies that have pink feet. In the past there have been some with light grey feet that eventually darken, but not pink until now. They have pink skin too.

Here is one of them. They are four days old.

I have never had a Silkie with a red comb before. Do you think these pink footed chicks will have one?

Since you've had birds with lighter coloured skin and feet previously, I would say that you have at least one hen and one cock who are het. for the dark skin gene. And that this chicklet inherited the non-dark skin allele (fm+) from both parents. Yes, the comb will be red.

That's okay, a neighbor has asked for two pet Silkies. I do need to pay attention to who's egg hatches which chicks.

I bought a group of silkies and one looks exact same. All the brothers and sisters black skin and feet. This one has regular chicken skin.

This just happened to me because the Father was a Cuckoo and carries this gene so some of the offspring may have red combs or pink skin

I bought three silkie chicks three weeks old and one of them looks exactly like some of the pics posted in this thread. In other words does not have black feet and I don't know he's too young but I can't find its fifth toe neither. I think this one maybe be mixed.

I also just had silkies hatch and one has pink feet and pink or white skin. I was hoping to show these silkies I haven't researched it yet but is this going to eliminate this Silkie from showing since she doesn't have the black skin and feet? She sure is cute though!!

I have had pink feet and yellow beaks. I just hatched some today with black skin and punk feet with 5 toes. No one jumped a fence. my silkies are kept in their own run. Just as genetic anomaly. Like only having 4 toes. I get those also.
