10 week old barred rock pullet...comb and wattles turning reddish

Quote:
How are you so sure about this one because, no offense, but to me it screams rooster. Much more white in the barring, and just a general rooster "look" to its face... you sure sure?

I was thinking the same thing, Big Daddy's Girl. I'm still a new myself, but thought the white barring in this one is thicker like a cockerel. I do think the second one looks like a pullet, though :)

My Barred Rock Rooster looked similar to this at fourteen weeks. He also crowed. Compared to my other Barred Rock of the same age he was was a lot whiter. I butchered him because he wouldn't let my hens come out of the coup or he would run them back in. And I didn't want a rooster.

Can someone help me? My BR is approximately 10 weeks old. I got her/him from a guy that breeds them specifically with all hens roosters on the premises, so I'm not sure if s/he has the same coloring as typical BRs. Here is some pictures of him/her

Definitely a cockerel.
