I posted this yesterday. My first thought was an injury, now I'm thinking a illness. My status will not allow me to post pictures, but here's a link.

What is the best treatment? How long is she infected? THANKS!
 
It looks like a severe infestation of mites to me. If it's coryza, there would be a foul odor about the head area. Here's a pic with a roo that has a problem with external parasites on his head, not as severe as yours though:
