At what age are call ducks full grown?

3 wks? no that is not right. Mine are 4wks old, no way can they be THAT small lol heck, my 'scovies babies are 11wks(turning wed/Thursday) and still are not done.

Ekks. Then mine might still get bigger? LOL I have two Pekin's and the largest (female) reaches 18 to the top of her head. They are not quite feathered out yet but it is coming.

They are so cute! probably fill out more.. i find it varies but about 4-6mths is about the range. I find in the Muscovy the drakes grow like freight trains, the ducks take a much slower route. Pekin grow pretty big and quick, i think moreso than 'scovies but never having them i am not able to provide a back to back comparison.

thanks. They are adorable. They talk away to me now when I go into the garage. They are still in the brooder but hope to move them outside in the next two weeks. We are still having some pretty cold nights. Got down to 3 last night so had the heat lamp on them. The feathers are growing back in on the male since we rehomed the Rouen. No further problems with fuzz pulling. LOL
They are inseparable though. Even to carry them to the outside pen they are calling each other.

Yes, we've been cold, heck we were snowing a short time ago. So is their just the pair? If so they will be quite close, I just have the pair of calls they are glued to each other, mind you a touch easier to move than Perkins they are beyond an handful at that age lol

Yes. We started out with two Pekin's and a Rouen but found out a week ago that we had two males and a female. The Rouen had pulled most of the chest fuzz off the other male and was quite aggressive over a two day period, prior to that they were all fine. I separated them for the night and tried again a couple of times but was worse each time. The male Pekin was actually bleeding at one point. (I put Blue antiseptic spray on) We found a good home for the Rouen and since then we have had no problems. They cuddle up at night with their beaks touching. I have 8 chicks too but housed separately. They are hard to carry but give up pretty easily when caught. LOL. They will do anything for a handful of peas so now I put them on the ground and they follow me around the yard as long as they know I have them in my hand.

Lol yes peas the gateway drug for ducks!thats to bad with the Rouen not had that happen especially in such a young bird.

You gonna get him some more females. :D
