Hello anyone home? Wasn’t sure if anyone still post on this thread. But here I go....here is my 2 1/2 week old SLW. She is so funny. And she can already fly . She practically landed on my shoulder while I was sitting on the floor in the chicken run.

I was wondering if that is a SLW thing? I have a 4-5 week old SLW girl who is absolutely able to fly around as she wishes. My Buff Orpingtons couldn't do that at her age.

When do SLW cockerels and pullets start developing sex-specific feathers? And am I looking at coloring or pointy saddle/hackle feathers? Wondering when I can plan to know "for sure" without needing to wait for crowing or eggs. Thanks!
