I have 6 jeresy black giants around 5 or 6 weeks old that weren't gendered. One I can tell by its comb and wattle, and scarce feathering that it is a cockerel. But after feeding them earlier today, Im questioning 2 of the other ones as well. Three of them have obviously small combs and barely any wattle. Also a gendered new hampshire pullet from our local feed store looks to me to be a rooster as well. What the heck. I know I can wait for them all to cock a doodle doo, but if I really have seven roosters together I figure Im in trouble. The sooner I can rehome them the better! Let me know what you think of these pics, maybe I am just paranoid .. lol
Asuspected black jersey giant roo..
This is the suspected New hampshire red roo.. she/he is 5/6 weeks old
The one to the left is the jersey giant I know is a roo, the one on the right is one I have in question. If you look at the picture below this one, you will see what I mean as far as the wattle and comb go..
This is one of the three obvious black jersey pullets I have, notice the comb is really small and wattle is barely there.. Any opinions are appreciated!
