Hey all,
Just wanted to share the outcome of my scavenging. Thanks!

You did a real nice job! At first, I planned on making my coop from all recycled and scavenged material, but with my job and business, I just don't have the time, so I am paying for the materials. There's something ironic, and crazy, about this. Best of luck with new coop.

Impressive!!!! I just built a run all from salvaged materials that should be bear proof! Boy, the things people throw away.

Here is a picture of my reclaimed coop. I am a carpenter contractor and luckily managed to build this coop out of left over materials and recycled lumber from other projects. The only materials I have purchased was the cedar siding ($150). I have a few more details to complete over the next few days. Tried to plan it to be strong enough to resist the wildlife we have here in BC, Canada. Bears, cougars, coyotes, bob cats, raccoons etc. Will be interested to see how effective the air circulation raised roof section will be! I love the idea of coops be built from reclaimed materials, it is how it should be.
