Started 1 day olds July 7th and have been enjoying them very much. So hardy and tasty! And now the last Cornish Cross hen started laying eggs. She is the first amongst a Leghorn, RIR, Ameraucana, Barred Rock, Australorp, Buff Orpington and Jersey Giant. I was thinking the Leghorn would be first but wow what a nice surprise! I can't wait to taste my first home grown eggs!

Cool!! I have 4 Red Ranger pullets the I didn't get process quick enough. They are laying eggs too. I am gonna have to butcher them soon.
