Hiiii! I’m (kinda) new to being a chicken mom/owner lol and I just cannot tell which gender my polish are lol I believe the Orpington is a cockerel but posting it anyways to get some confirmation lol or maybe I’m wrong! thanks so much!!
I have 3 7 week old chickens I need help sexing. I'm pretty sure the brown one is female. The two light brahmas im unsure of. The middle chicken looks different than their sibling. Comb is different and wattles are more red. I know it's still early just wanna see if anyone has any opinions.
Chicks are 7 weeks old olive eggers both bought as pullets but the lighter gray chick with the red comb is reallllly making me suspicious more and more everyday lol. Just curious what anyone elses opinions on gender would be for these chicks :) the picture of the wing is from the chick with the...
Meet Violet! She is 7 weeks old today is the sweetest thing ever!
Santa brought us 4 Swedish Flower Hens for Christmas, but two of them ended up being roos and one of the pullets got killed by a hawk. We decided to get a Black Australorp to detract from hawks and give our one remaining girl a...
I am wondering if anyone has guesses on my 7 week old Buff Orpington and 7 week old EE.
Buff Orp:
Easter egger/mutt really has me stumped. Her tail feathers grew in super early and she's pretty timid, but comb seems to be growing.

Hello, I have 5 chickens we've raised from chicks.
There are 4 different types:
1.) Cheerio - Buff Orpington x1
2.) Frenchie - Wheaten Marans x1
3.) Wells - Golden Laced Wyandotte x1
4.) New Hampshire Red x 2
I'm curious based on the pictures if you're able to say whether they are hens or...
We have two lavender Orphingtons, this one we are on the fence on if it’s a Roo or a Hen? Almost 7 weeks old. Any thoughts? Or characteristics to look out for with this breed in the coming weeks? Thanks for the input!
We will continue to wait until we hear a crow and then will have to find this...
This is a jersey giant. I'm guessing roo, as I see saddle feathers and his tail feathers are much bigger and fuller than his siblings. I'll attach a pic of one of his siblings suspected to be a hen (bottom pic)
also wanted to know what age i can put them outside? I was guessing 10 weeks to be sure
I got my first 2 ever ducks March 3 this year so they're both a little over a month old now. And I need help finding out they're genders. Our vet doesn't vet and I'm not going to pay for blood work since it's too expensive. I got them at a farm shop, a khaki campbell and a Swedish blue. The...
Hi,
I have 6 australops that are 7 weeks old. I am starting to think that maybe 2 of them are cockerels. They have bright red combs and the combs are bigger than the other babies.
One is a grey australop and one in a black australop.
Hopefully these photos are helpful. They were free ranging...
