plant protection

My ducks have a large fenced in area around the house where they will keep the grass short, eat pesky bugs and fertilize the plants. But sometimes i want them to work on a different spot, like for example my potato patch. And i don't like when they eat my peppermint plants, dig out the tomatoes...
