anyone want to give this one a shot?

Yay!!!! I like what I'm hearing....I guess I must just have a pullet who is a brave and assertive girl!! She looks nothing like speckledhen's roo did in that picture at five weeks. Her comb is very definitely still yellow and feathers are predominantly black...and she'll be 7-weeks old on Monday. This is a huge relief because I really enjoy her personality and didn't want to have to deal with a roo with only 6 ladies in the flock.

Thanks for all of the input! These chickens are fascinating creatures

Mulemom- this is my first time with chickens, so I have no idea whats "normal" LOL sorry I can't help more. I can tell you that now that he is 12 weeks, his tail is getting longer but he is still not crowing. He does put the ladies in line though. If they start bugging each other he steps in and says ENOUGH!
