Black silkie making awful noises!

My husband says "he" is trying to crow but man it sounds awful. more like someone trying to squeeze all the air out of a squeak toy ha ha. Is is a he or is it a female just squacking? Crystal

Congrats, your little boy is learning to be a BIG rooster! It will take him a few months to get it down, some never get it

Yes Crystal, They sound like squeek toys when they start to crow. You have yourself a little roo. They graduate to Party horn sounds next, they they get the real crowing down. I have several doing that same thing right now. At least it takes the guess work out of it when they crow early.
