have a broody hen sitting on a dozen eggs, 8 batams and 4 standards. I put the 8 eggs under her yesterday and the 4 just a little while ago, will that be a problem that they are a day apart? Do I need to do anything for the broody mom other than supply food/water? She is in a very large dog kennal with shavings in it.
When I purchased these eggs I didn't realize they were batams, I assumed standard and the the owner didn't specify, so it was my mistake. Anyways will a couple of batam hens be alright living with a bunch of standards? (see sigy for list of other chickens)
