Butchering Chicken mistake

I butchered a chicken today new to this. I accidentally punctured the intestine. Is it still safe to keep or dispose?

You can keep it, just remove the organs and rinse the cavity.

If I puncture or break any part of the digestive system, I just rinse well. That can be the intestines, crop, anything in between. Sometimes the plumbing breaks off of the gizzard as I remove it. I try to be very careful with the gall bladder but even if that breaks and spills I rinse really well.

I understand the concern. That kind of stuff happens to all of us. It's not that big of a deal, just rinse well.
