Do coturnix quails produce dust and dander likes chickens and pigeons? Because I want to keep a few quails indoors as pets. From what I read online parakeets, conures, macaws and lovebirds don’t produce dust. But what about coturnix quails?

Yes. It comes from their bedding/poop being scratched and from their skin and feathers

If I keep just three coturnix quails indoors inside a clear storage container will I develop allergies or bird fancier lung syndrome?

Therebprobably wouldn't be nearly enough ventilation unless you had a screened lid. I really just wouldn't keep them indoors period

Would it be better if I keep them in an outdoor cage, but the tamest one I can bring indoors for a few hours to play with and then put it back outdoors?

I wouldn't take them out unless needed. They aren't really pet birds that enjoy being handled for fun
