feed vitamins to new chicks

I'm ordering grogel for my chicks that arrive on april 23. How often do you feed them the vitamins? Is it just once or for a couple of, days or weeks?

I got Gro Gel from McMurray Hatchery when I got my peeps, & they wouldn't eat it. When you mix it up, there's only about a half of a cup of it, anyway, so it's a one time thing.

Do you have the electrolytes to go in the water?

We got vitamins and electrolytes from Tractor Supply for under $3. We added it to the chick's water for the first 6 weeks of their life. We also add it if they seem to be under stress (like moving from brooder to barn) or under the weather.
