Hi

I am currently fostering a running duck egg for a rescue where I volunteer.
Both very nervous and very excited.
Mummy duck abandoned the egg and we caught it in time. I then spent the rest of the day sat with it in my cleavage until we could get the incubator, like you do...

Hi, if your duck egg hatches will you be getting other ducklings to keep it company?

I have knitted it a small 'Mummy Duck' to keep it company for the 1st few weeks and as I work around the corner from home, I will check in several times a day. When it no longer needs the heat lamp, it can come to work during the day, then when old enough it will return to the rescue farm with the other ducks. Unfortunately I lack the space to full adopt it, but hope to do so in the future along with along one of the rescues chickens.
