I am really starting to believe that Princess is actually a Prince

How loud are roosters?

Extremely loud. Chickens are actually at top spot for the loudest bird call in the world. Measured right in their beak, a rooster's crow reaches 180 decibels, which can cause permanent and severe ear damage. That is why chickens can close their ears at will, to muffle the noise. For reference, a dog barking is usually 90-100 decibels. Each rooster has a different loudness to his crow and his voice changes how it sounds. Every rooster has a different crow and cannot be compared to another. Luckily for us humans, who cannot immediately close their ears, the 180 decibels in not as loud once it reaches our ears if the rooster is far off (please do not let a rooster crow directly in your ear-ouch!)
