i recieved my hatchery permit in the mail today!,last year i took a course in testing poultry and i tested all my birds the region vet came and inspected my premisis and approved my permit so i can legally sell chicks and i am npip approved also i am really excited about this ,oh i am from minnesota thanks bill

to sell chicks- through mail ? you need a permit, or to have a bussness ? but as a breeder.......i dont know, could ya talk about this whole prosses?
 
thanks! hey dragon in order to sell chicks,ducklings,goslings etc... under 5 months of age reguardless if it is through mail or pickup you need a hatchery permit,and all breeding stock need to be tested for pullorum typhoid. if you hatch them out just for yourself and or sell them over 5 months of age you do not need a permit
