I have 6 chickens

I am very depressed. I have 6 chickens for about a month. I let them go free in the backyard...but no eggs. I change their feed from corn to egg layer feed but no eggs.. They told me to pen them and put an egg inside the coon ...Its been about another week...and guess what? No egg...Does anyone have any other good idea?

How old are they? And where are you from. If its cold and the days are short alot of time they wont lay.

I would ask the same questions, age & location (weather).

Another question I'd like to add is the breed(s) of chickens you have.

Oh, and we always love to see pictures. Everyone is chicken nuts here. Could help in this case especially if you aren't sure of the breed...

Are you sure they are pullets and not immature roos?
