The incubator I've been using turned off today after it reached 21 days, I got home to cold eggs and 1 pipped.
59 degrees f and 51% humidity.
It's been raining off and on today so I'm hoping the humidity didn't drop too far.
Why would you make an incubator that turns off on the hatch day?! And it did count down from day zero
I don't know when it turned off, likely this morning, I've been gone since 5:30.
I chipped a bit at the pipped chick, cold and no movement but after it sat on the counter a while , it started to move, chirp and bleed.
I'm getting the incubator back up to heat and have the pipped chick in the sink, wrapped in a warm, damp washcloth.
The bleeding has stopped and it's cheeping and chewing, so I think it may make it but I'm concerned for the others.
They're much bigger eggs and I don't know their pip status, if the pipped one bounced back, I hoping they do too.
Any thoughts?
