Marek’s in the flock

Hard to capture a good picture of my chickens eyes but this one clearly shows a difference between the good eye and the cloudy one. However she has been doing well so far, laying, eating, and the healthy eye is still ok so I hope it continues.

On the other hand I made a difficult decision to euthanize another hen (my black marans) who out of nowhere started limping, hunching, getting sleepy, dirty vent….very similar to the original hen with confirmed Marek’s, and she deteriorated quickly. So that’s 3 out of 5 (vaccinated) hens affected now.
