Newbie learning the ropes of how to sell her chicks

Hi Y’all!!

I have been learning the chicken ropes trial by fire and Backyard chicken FB group as well as this suite have helped me so much.

I decided I wanted to incubate chicks and sell them. I am on my third batch incubated but don’t know where I can sell them.

Right now I have 11 BYM 4 day old chicks. It’s hard not to love and want them all but I only have so much space. I decided to do the ones I have so I can learn the ropes so next year when my Speckled Sussex and My BCM full breed chicken have chicks I can sell them.

My Backyard mix consists of a Marans /Leghorn (Rooster) and olive egger (mom). Buff Orpington (mom), Easter Eggers (mom) and a Leghorn (mom).

We live in South Carolina. If anyone is interested they are well loved and healthy babies. Let me know.

Otherwise all your advice to assist with selling chicks locally would be helpful as well.

I never sold chicks, so this is just a shot in the dark suggestion.
Once they are old enough to be sexed,, you can list them on site like Craig's. You want to be sure, that peeps that can only keep hens, are not disappointed. You can also offer :"STRAIGHT RUN" Just hatched chicks. Not sure if Offerup allows chicks, live pet sales. I think Facebook marketplace, may allow,, but not sure.
If your feed store is out of chicks for sale,, ask them if you can post a message on their bulletin board. Many feed stores/farm store do have a bulletin board that local farmers post items available.
And very important when making sales. Agree to meet in a public place, and of course do not go alone. Daytime hours also.

Thank you so much I really appreciate your feedback and definitely safety tips. I know Facebook doesn’t allow sales I do belong to a group that lets you put chicks for sale but no prices. I sold 5 of the 16 I had that day and they drove 2 hours to my house to get them.
