So I hear EMERGENCY peeping from the brooder. Run over, expecting to see some sort of predator or at the very least the water dish spilled.

Nope.

One of the chicks has hopped on top of the heating plate for the first time. And now is “lost.”

My one chick somehow got herself inside the feeder bottle so when I saw her my first thought is "Oh no she's dead." Then when I run over and pull her out she's like "What are you doing? I was sleeping here! Put me back!"

Once again, baby chicks prove how and why they are more entertaining than TV!

Not just when they're chicks. They're pretty funny when they're full grown.

For instance: I have one hen who would jump the first fence and the other fence, walk to the front door, and peck at it until I carried her out back so she could lay her egg. We had an old dresser on the porch which she would jump on and stare in the window. Every. Single. Day.
