Please me. Is this a breed?

I average about 5-6/ day. I've got 3 that lay pretty decent eggs mostly #6. And my darkest is around a #7 from Joannie my head hen but she's sitting on 9 of her daughter Angels eggs currently so not laying.

Maybe their all 5-6, I'm not too good with the colors yet. Hoping to darken them up some more by hatching Angels eggs (her coming from Joannie)
If Kong came from a dark egg, it should.

Edited to add.... I'm throwing all these #'s out, you might not know what I'm referring to.
Marans have a color chart they must adhere to in the breed SOP (standard of perfection). The reason I mentioned earlier in the thread that if they don't lay at least a #4, they are not considered a Marans.

By continually breeding from your darkest layers to your roos that come from dark eggs you will continue producing dark eggs. In theory....

Here is the Roo. His name is Monsieur Jacques (the s is silent). His feet are huge. He is wide too.
