I have about 38 cortunix quail and button quail on it right now and have been since they were hatched. I have not lost a one

It's my understanding that game birds need a higher level of protein. Game Bird
feed in general has more protein than chicken starter.

The cocciastat (bad spelling) that medicated chick starter contains would be my concern
but if others are using it with no problems it's probably ok. Anyone know if quail
are sensative to Cocci??

I have 75 pounds of unmedicated chicken starter that I plan to mix with game bird
feed for my quail chicks.

I DONT' FEED MINE MEDICATED BECAUSE THERE ISN'T A BIG RISK OF COCTI IN QUAIL RAISED IN PENS OFF THE GROUND. I CAN'T GET GAMEBIRD STARTER WERE I LIVE SO I USE 24% CHICK STARTER FROM TSC. LATER I MIX IT WITH GAMEBIRD MAINTENANCE.
