I am having trouble with a coturnix and texas a&m quail. The guy at the feed store said that coturnix are very cannibalistic, but also that quail won't survive alone. They have to have other quail. I can't put a bloody pecked half to death baby quail back in with anybody else, so she has to be alone. And the "pecker" as it were can't be with anyone else, cause he/she is mean. I don't know how old they are, just getting pin feathers.

What do I do?

I have never had problems so far with my Jumbo Brown cortunix being cannabalistic. They are actually much nicer to each other and calm compared to bobwhites. But Texas A&Ms are known for getting pretty rough with each other if crowded. I would say nurse the picked baby back to health...and maybe try reintroducing it. I introduced 1 week olds to 2 week olds and had no problem. If that doesnt work Im not sure what else to do.
Good Luck and let us know how it goes!
