Rooster suddenly refuses to mate with hens.

I have 3 hens and a rooster of one breed in a separate pen from the other chickens. He would constantly mount the 3 hens even if he had to catch them. Now, it's been a month since he started loosing interest and now refuses to mate. He started really slowing down a few weeks ago only mating one hen and now he won't do it at all! I've also noticed one of the hen's eggs are not no longer fertile. It's been pretty hot here, maybe weather conditions?

6.5 months. I believe he started mating at 4.5 months.

It could be the heat,he is young not many reasons he shouldn’t mating escpecially at that age,

Maybe he is learning how the girls want him to treat them,,,

The heat could definitely be a factor.
