I was thinking about ordering geese (fir real this time), but saw this on the Metzer website:

Looks like they can ship birds from a different state, that are heathy.

This information is good to know even for people like me that never buy from hatcheries. This informs the public of the on going struggles and to try to provide safe poultry management practices.

Looks like they can ship birds from a different state, that are heathy.

Several of their breeds are unavailable for now. And shipping from Tennessee is a lot further from my location. I'd get my birds the next day from their CA location.

Moreover, it's a sign that nowhere in the US is really AI free. California was a hold out for a bit there. Now we're in the thick of it.
